Over Phone Lines
To facilitate
access to remote computers and networks, Hummingbird's
high performance Exceed/Xpress is integrated with Exceed
5. PC, laptop, and notebook users may access X Windows
networks and hosts over phone lines using a modem, or
directly via RS232 serial connection. Exceed/Xpress is
designed specifically to handle the increased bandwidth
requirements of remote connections to X Window System
hosts. Performance is enhanced with modem compression
features to maximize throughput.
